More than 72 hours after risk: get tested
Get tested for sexually transmitted diseases (STI) and hiv as soon as possible. The sooner you know you have an STI, the sooner you can start with the treatment.
STI can be determined by a test one to three weeks after infection, hiv six weeks. The exact period is different for every STI.
Talk to your doctor about the unsafe sex. Together you can agree on what the next steps should be.
